The Barbados Lottery Brings Excitement & Finds a Winner at “Soca on de Hill
Bridgetown, Barbados – July 24, 2019: Lana Codrington is over the moon. When she came to work at the “Soca on de Hill” event at Farley Hill National Park on Sunday, July 21, little did she know that she would go home with a $1,000 prize in her pocket. Ms. Codrington won the Grand Prize after playing her favourite games at the Barbados Lottery booth.
Ms. Codrington was quite choked up with emotion. “I have never won anything before!” she exclaimed. “I can’t wait to tell my mother!” The ecstatic Grand Prize winner encouraged other Barbados Lottery players to take the chance and play. “You never know when the opportunity to win can arise,” said Ms. Codrington.
During the Barbados Lottery “Soca on de Hill” Promotion, patrons who visited the booth and spent $30 or more between the hours of 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. had the chance to enter the draw. They also had the opportunity to Spin the Wheel to win branded Barbados Lottery merchandise. This special promotion included a range of prizes through The Barbados Lottery’s social media platforms and at their retail office, as well as on the day of the event.
Shelly-Ann Hee Chung, Site Operations Manager at The Barbados Lottery, shared Ms. Codrington’s excitement at winning the Grand Prize. “We are delighted that our ‘Soca on de Hill’ promotion has created such a buzz,” she observed. “We were very happy with the enthusiastic response of patrons at the event and we congratulate Ms. Codrington on her win. Once again, this sponsorship represents The Barbados Lottery’s ongoing commitment to our vibrant Caribbean culture, while providing exciting opportunities to win for our players.”
