Super Excited Barbadian cashes in with the Super Lotto Jackpot
Bridgetown, Barbados – September 5, 2019: The Caribbean has a newly minted Super Lotto millionaire in Barbados! The winner bought the lucky ticket at Mia Mart Limited in St. Michael.
Whilst collecting her cheque during a short but lively presentation ceremony, E. Trotman exclaimed “Everybody is super excited about it especially me!” As a regular player for the past year or so, using both pre-pick and quick pick features on all The Barbados Lottery’s games including Super Lotto, the new millionaire has not yet decided how the money will be spent, but indicated that financial advice will be sought for the winnings.
In presenting the cheque, Site Operations Manager at The Barbados Lottery Shelly Ann Hee Chung warmly congratulated the winner. She stated, “This is truly a special occasion for us this morning as we celebrate a ‘Decade of Dreams’, and what is now a lifetime of dreams come true for our latest Super Lotto winner.”
On August 28, 2009, the Super Lotto game was launched as the first (1st) multi-jurisdictional jackpot game across the region. “Since then, we’ve celebrated eighteen (18) jackpot winners across the region, eight (8) of whom were from Barbados, and the most recent being celebrated this morning!” The Super Lotto is played in Anguilla, Antigua & Barbuda, Barbados, Dominican Republic, Jamaica, St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Maarten and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Mrs. Hee Chung then reminded “Fast-forward 10 years later, on Tuesday August 6, 2019, one lucky player visited The Barbados Lottery’s retail Agent, Mia Mart and purchased a Super Lotto Quick Pick ticket for Draw Number 1019. Little did this lucky player know that those Quick Pick numbers 16-18-21-28-30, with Super Ball number 03, would result in a jackpot win of BD $4,370,000 / EC $5,880,000 / US$2,190,000!”
